The Statistical Service of Cyprus released the latest unemployment numbers today.
Key Facts:
- 17,263 people are currently unemployed
- 2% increase from September 2009
- 73% increase from October 2008 (last year)
- Most registered unemployed persons came from the construction, trade, real estate and tourism industries.
- After a stable summer, unemployment has been on the rise since August.
