The welfare of animals in Cyprus is too often neglected — instances of abuse, abandonment and unsafe living conditions are witnessed island-wide, and on a daily basis. It is a disturbing trend that is slowly being addressed.

If you have concerns over the welfare of any animal in Cyprus, please reach out to one of the many animal welfare organizations in your area. Most registered animal welfare NGOs have banded together to form the Cyprus Voice for Animals, a unified front against animal cruelty in Cyprus.

Please contact the Cyprus Voice for Animals if you have questions about your responsibilities as a pet owner, concerns about animal cruelty/poisoning, or you wish to volunteer at a local shelter.
